MasterScanner provides all today's industrial requirements for efficient measurement of straight and screw gages. Its excellent measurement precision and advanced features make MasterScanner an ideal instrument for calibration laboratories. Fast and reliable calibration is possible for a wide range of parallel and conical screw plug gages, screw ring gages, straight adjusting rings and pads. Many screw gauge manufacturers around the world also apply to MasterScanner to check their production. A unique capability of MasterScanner is to provide you with all the information necessary for optimal setting of machine tools in an automatic cycle.
Excellent precision is achieved with the new patented measurement technology.
The entire 2-dimensional section of the surface of a part along the reference axis with a mathematical plane is formed by a two-end probe by successive scanning of two opposite contours. Another feature is the true shape scanning of each of the two tips in a versatile way for best correction of the probe system. During scanning, thousands of 2D contour points are saved in the memory of the computer with high resolution every second. After the first contour is scanned, the direction of the measuring force changes and the probe is displaced for the second contour scan. Each contour point has 0.01μm resolution for both axes and is stored for data processing. Immediately after the scan is finished, MasterScanner calculates and provides you with the following parameters: effective diameter, simple effective diameter, major diameter, minor diameter, thread, partial side angles, profile deficiencies, taper, etc.
For the adequacy and evaluation of the results, the Metrologist uses the keyboard and the very detailed tolerance library, IACLIB. This library covers thousands of different straight and screw gauge tolerances. MasterScanner complies with all requirements for traceability as specified in ISO 9000 and ISO 17025. After successful calibration, you can continue to calibrate the gauge with the machine. Cross checks applied automatically follow the operator. All measured contours can be converted to DXF format for advanced inspection and analysis with a CAD system such as AutoCAD.
Measured dimensions:
• Effective thread diameter
• Simple effective thread diameter
• Effective diameter equivalence
• Major diameter
• Minor diameter
• Teeth
• Collected tooth deviation
• Side angles
• Partial side angles
• Conical
• Profile shortcomings
ISO / IEC 17025 Accreditation:
The 2D scanning method of the IAC MasterScanner is compliant with the ISO / IEC 17025 acceptance standard and is accredited by the accreditation bodies of our customers: RVA, DKD, SCES, DANAK, SWEDAC, UKAS, NABL, NATA, OAR, SIT.
IACLIB is fully integrated with a library of tolerance for gauges and parts for automatic comparison with Standards.
